AP (Advanced Placement) SAT II Spanish Test Prep

The AP Spanish Test emphasizes active communication skills and is the level-equivalent of a 5th or 6th semester university Spanish course. Like other Spanish language certifications, it tests the full range of aural/oral skills, reading comprehension, grammar, and composition. Tradfax's instructors can provide the additional practice and direction necessary to pass the exam at the highest level.

The Course

The AP Spanish Test Prep Course begins with your language skills assessment.

The results of your skills assessment will place you either directly into a review phase where you will address fundamental concepts that you may have forgotten, or directly into an exam preparation phase.

The exam and this course both place a special emphasis on comprehending authentic (non-technical) sources of Spanish text such as newspaper and magazine articles and contemporary literature.

Similarly we provide many multi-part exercises that explicitly combine listening, reading, and speaking or writing together, although there is less of an emphasis on true fluency than there is in some of our other courses.

As always, you can choose the pace and class schedule that is best for you.

Notes

We highly recommend that you be enrolled in a High School Spanish Course in the months preceding the examination. According to the college board, "...you're likely not to do as well if you take the test after you haven't been in a Spanish class for several months."
