What is the FIDESCU D.I.E.?

The D.I.E. (International Diploma of Spanish) is, like the D.E.L.E., one of most widely respected and recognized Spanish language certifications in the world.

It offers children from the age of 7, young people and adults, the possibility of obtaining qualifications which vouch for their level of linguistic ability in Spanish: oral, written, or both. This qualification is divided as followed:

The objective of the D.I.E. consists of evaluating the capacity of each candidate to communicate effectively with other Spanish speakers.

As such, when you prepare for and take the D.I.E. with us, you can be assured that the accent of the person you are learning from at Tradfax will be similar to the accent that you will hear during the oral examination (as opposed to a true Spanish accent that many North Americans are unfamiliar with)!

THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE: You can take the FIDESCU exam on relatively short notice throughout the entire calendar year. The DELE, on the other hand, must be taken at specific testing sites and is only offered twice a year. Additionally, the accent of the speech encountered during the DELE exam may sound quite foreign and therefore comprehension may be more difficult!

The FIDESCU D.I.E. Preparation Course and Examination

This course begins with your language skills assessment, and ends when you have successfully completed the D.I.E. exam at your desired level.

The results of your skills assessment will place you into the appropriate written and oral level as defined by the D.I.E. exam. We will then advise you, based on your desired certification level and your time-frame, on the class schedule that is expected to deliver the desired result.

As you continue to progress, your teacher will provide you with feedback regarding whether the frequency of classes should be increased or descreased.
