SAT II Spanish Test Prep
The SAT II Spanish Test comes in two flavors: "Spanish" and "Spanish with Listening", neither of which require writing or speaking. Colleges and Universities are said to prefer the "Spanish with Listening" test as it gives them a fuller picture of you ability and is more useful for placement purposes.
However, neither exam is an easy one and students can benefit from the additional, focused attention that Tradfax's instructors provide.
It is important to note that the "with Listening" test is only given once a year in November!
The Course
The SAT II Spanish Test Prep Course begins with your language skills assessment.
The results of your skills assessment will place you either directly into a review phase where you will address fundamental concepts that you may have forgotten, or directly into an exam preparation phase.
The written portion of the exam has a unique focus on testing precise use of vocabulary, grammar, and idiomatic expressions for the purposes of reading comprehension and paragraph completion, and our exam preparation course emphasizes these specific areas.
Similarly we provide listening exercises representative of those on the SAT II as opposed to the more general Spanish listening comprehension and fluency that we emphasize in some of our other courses.
As always, you can choose the pace and class schedule that is best for you.
Notes
We highly recommend that you be enrolled in a High School Spanish Course in the months preceding the examination. According to the college board, "...you're likely not to do as well if you take the test after you haven't been in a Spanish class for several months."
